Why does Binge Eating Occur?

One reason why Binge Eating occurs for women is due to the value society places on being thin  The message is to be thin and fit, which is given through different forms of mass media, including magazines, television, and the Internet.  I remember years ago I got influenced by the models in magazines and this caused me to think I was fat.   I started to diet and exercise frequently, and later this led me to binge eat.  My eating disorder started my senior year in high school and I was able to overcome it nine years later.

One Technique to Help with Binge Eating

I would like to share one out of a handful of techniques that helped me to overcome Binge Eating.  It is a Meditation Walk.  Every day you go outside in a quiet setting with no distractions and walk slowly.  Focus on every step.  By doing this, you are moving energy out of your mind and bringing it down your body.  Quieting the mind will help to stop the intense cravings for food, overcome binge eating, improve body image, feel inner peace, letting go of negative thoughts, such as “I am Fat,” and more.

If you would like a personal coaching session with me to help you overcome Binge Eating, go to my shop page to Purchase a 1 hour Virtual Consultation package, which includes a recording of our session.  I want to help you to get healthy, feel inner peace, and live your life to its fullest potential.
